2. Raw Eggs
Eggs can be pretty dirty, and they are not always carefully stored. One market in Antigua, Guatemala had a beautiful display of eggs, unrefrigerated, covered in flies and set out for several days at “room” temperature (actually about 85*F).
Skip the raw eggs, partially uncooked eggs, mayonnaise, sauces, cocktails, and cookie dough. Washing or soaking the eggs doesn’t always help as shells are somewhat porous and you can introduce bacteria from the outside to the inside.
